Overdue afterparty, sequel, and QGB23

Hello, I'm usarin, the creator of lastrain. Thank you for giving the game a chance! We have reached over 2000+ plays and 5000+ views!
The game was made to commemorate the anniversary of my two-man Call of Cthulhu campaign with Rev (maybe check their stuff too), which happen to start around late June last year. (Meika and Arthur were destined to be gay through and through, even started the campaign during Pride month...)

Initially I did this simply because my fondness for them has been not-dying for almost a year and just wanted to share it with my friends, and O2A2Q 2023 was a great momentum to keep things short and on point.

But first, have a sketch of the protagonist whose face wasn't shown during the whole course.

So, with all that in mind, I have not been checking on itch nor ever plan to promote it too much, and before I knew it, apparently lastrain has reached the ears and hearts of many. (Visibility and exposure also made me anxious, so there's that too.) More importantly, I'm glad some people picked the reference as well, as it is my all-time favorite novel. Was slightly relieved I had the script checked and completely rewritten once before posted.

I couldn't thank everyone enough!

By the way, with the regular O2A2 coming up soon, I wanted to create another short story that directly takes place after lastrain featuring Meika and Arthur again, probably titled as 'firstrain' or something... Though you can probably read these two in any order. I would like to give a proper answer for those who wondered of what happened after the ending.

In the meantime, I might start posting casual game development thoughts on my side blog, so look forward to that. While Arthur is Rev's original character, Meika is my original character and he's heavily tied to my own world building where most of the things and concepts I create will take place, but my stuff won't always be related to lastrain most of the time, so I can't always post them here. Obviously...

Also, did you know that lastrain was included in Queer Games Bundle 2023 along with Decay in Crevice? Apparently, there's still a week left despite Pride month being in June.
